Tia Textiles Studio features surface prints designed by Nicole Melnicky. Nicole received her BFA degree from Moore College of Art and Design with majors in Fine Art and minors in Textile Design and Art History. Upon graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors, Nicole entered the apparel industry creating print designs for a variety of juniorwear, womenswear fashion, apparel, product, and accessory brands. She also has taken numerous courses in Fashion and Surface Design at Otis College of Art and Design (Los Angeles, CA).

Melnicky is a creative surface print designer skilled in creating textile print designs, graphics, original paintings and drawings, pattern repeats, colorways, color separation, print indexing, cleaning up artworks, concept, mood boards, digital mockup, and technical flat sketches. She has strong skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator with an emphasis in Aquario Design.

She interned as a Graphic Design intern for Eleanor Grosch (Philadelphia, PA), Print Design and Product Development intern at Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet (New York, NY), and as a Fashion / Print Design intern at Tanya Taylor (New York, NY). She previously worked as an Assistant Designer at Bootlegger Jeans (Vancouver, BC).
